54th Emporium: Jade And Gems Sales Kicked Off In Nay Pyi Taw

The 54th Myanma Jade and Gems Emporium kicked off at Mani Yadana Jade Hall in Nay Pyi Taw on Wednesday. Vice President U Henry Van Thio attended the opening ceremony and viewed the display of Gems and Jewelery.

The 10-day Emporium was organized by the Myanmar Gems Emporium Central Committee under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation.

Over 6000 uncut jade lots and over 300 gems lots are put on sale at the emporium.

Vice Chairman (4), Myanmar Gems Entrepreneurs Association, Myint Han said “All the prices of jade and gems are fixed in Euros so the floor prices are 1000 Euros for value added products and 4000 Euros for uncut jade. We will sell with an open tender system. And this year, we display 6500 uncut jade lots and 386 gems lots. Besides, all raw gems and uncut jade will be sold in Myanmar Kyat.”

Participants from Gems and Jewelery shops and Myanmar Gems Entrepreneurs Association welcomed such kind of event to showcase the qualified Myanmar Jade and Gems among the international merchants.

Owner, Htate Htar Lay Gems and Jewelery, Myo Myo Thant said “We display the value added gems that make with products from our country in this emporium. And we also want to attract the international buyers to increase our country's income. Then, the emporium will benefit not only for the entrepreneurs but also for the country's income.” 

6th AEC Gems and Jewelery President's Summit will be organized during the 10-day Emporium.
