Aid To Rakhine State: Aid Provided Under Red Cross Movement Program

Myanmar Red Cross Society has been providing and distributing relief aid and health care services in Rakhine State since the 28th of August. One of Maungtaw-based humanitarian institutions, International Committee of the Red Cross provided humanitarian assistance for the displaced persons taking shelter at Ale Thankyaw Beach on Thursday, Information Committee said. 

The aid provided under Red Cross Movement program included 20 bags of rice, 8 bags of beans, edible oil, 100 hygiene kits, mosquito nets and medicines. Displaced people will be delivered subsidies without segregation – it will be in accord with the fundamental principles on giving humanitarian aids for the donors at home and abroad to take part in Red Cross Movement-RCM program led by the government.
