Japanese people on Tuesday (June 12) hoped for peace and stability in Northeast Asia from the historic summit between U.S. President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un being held in Singapore. The long-awaited summit was broadcast live on several television monitors on the street of Tokyo.
JAPANESE CHIEF CABINET SECRETARY, YOSHIHIDE SUGA said "We hope today's summit makes progress in the nuclear missile and more importantly the abduction issues, and we strongly hope it will be the historic summit that will result in a major step forward for the peace and stability of North East Asia. For that end, we are prepared to help make that happen."
