Massive torch parade celebrating North Korea's 70s anniversary

11 September 2018

Thousands of people marched through Kim Il Sung square in Pyongyang on Monday to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of North Korea. The celebration is expected to last for one month. It will include a trade show and other events designed to drum up foreign investment and tourism spending in the sanctions-strapped country. The torch parade followed several high-profile events, including Sunday's Mass Games and a military parade, to mark the 70th anniversary of the founding of the country.
