7 finalists competed in the 3rd round of the Peace Music Festival’s Level-3 competition on Sunday evening at Hexagon Complex of Shwe Htut Tin Ground in Yangon.
There were 9 finalists in the 2nd round – SMS voting left 2 contestants. A total of 7 contestants reached this 3rd round.
Judge, Tet Ka Tho Lae Lae said “Peace Music Festival supports the peace building process to some extent, I’m sure. This Peace Music Festival can attract the young people to our country’s peace process. The definition of peace varies – peace of mind is important, and music can bring it to some extent.”
Peace Music Festival is aimed to promote the participation of young people in peace building process. 5 contestants will compete in the 4th round competition.
Contestant, May Thazin said “I am so glad to be saved for the 4th round. I love classic songs and I will keep competing, singing such songs. I will try my best.”
Peace Music Festival Final competition is set to be held in December in Yangon. Cash prizes ranging from 10 to 30 million kyats will be presented to 3 winners. 3 million kyats of consolation prizes will also be given.
