Russia's Central Bank officially unveiled the new designs for its 200 and 2,000 ruble banknotes on Thursday. The new 200 ruble bill features images of the ruins of Chersonesus in Crimea and the naval memorial of Sevastopol on its two sides respectively. 2,000 ruble banknote adopts the images of the Vostochny Cosmodrome spaceport and the Russky Bridge.
The images were chosen by the public through an online poll conducted from June to October. Central Bank said the new bills will firstly circulate in areas including Moscow and Vladivostok, while the mass entry of the new banknotes across the country will start in December.
