South Korea conducts bombing drill as U.S., Seoul discuss tougher sanctions on North

South Korean fighter jets conducted bombing drills at a firing exercise ground after Pyongyang launched a ballistic missile that flew over Japan earlier in the day. South Korea's military said the missile was launched from near the North Korean capital, Pyongyang, just before 6 a.m..

U.S. Secretary of State and South Korea's Foreign Minister on Tuesday agreed to consider tougher sanctions against North Korea following the latest missile launch. Separately, the South's Yonhap news agency said that the U.S. military was considering the deployment of strategic assets to the Korean peninsula.
