Syrian children in Jordan get education in refugee camp

14 January 2018

In the suburbs of Madaba, Jordan, Syrian refugees have set up a school for about 50 children who live nearby. The refugee camp school has few teaching facilities, even without training aid and textbooks. The children still go to school despite the cold and humidity inside the tent in winter. The education from the refugee camp school has gained recognition and support from international organizations. Many students who studied in the refugee camp before have transferred to formal schools in Jordan for further education. Jordan is reportedly hosting approximately 1.4 million Syrian refugees, most of whom are women and children.
