Trump proposes $100 billion of additional tariffs on China

U.S. President Donald Trump on Thursday threatened to slap 100 billion U.S. dollars in additional tariffs on Chinese products. China vows to defend its national interests against U.S. trade actions and protectionism. China unveiled a list of products worth 50 billion U.S. dollars imported from the United States that will be subject to higher tariffs on Wednesday.

The move was taken after the U.S. administration announced a proposed list of Chinese products subject to additional tariffs.
